Weekend {President's Weekend}

Perks of living in Vermont: Cheap lift and rentals for snowboarding.
I've lived here for 3 years now and really have not taken full advantage of the amazing deal we get on snowboarding. This weekend some friends and I decided to hit the slopes once again since we have a 3 day weekend. I've been snowboarding for a while but my carving skills have always been a little sub par. It's just not normal to zoom down a mountain at high speeds with your feet bound to a little board.  However, I think this season has really been a turning point because I'm finally starting to get it! (claps all around). I can actually say I spent more time going down the mountain then on my behind so I'd call that an overall win.

Now I'm really hoping this is not just be me but after a hard day of boarding isn't lodge food the most amazing thing ever? The girls and I always enjoy grabbing a beer sampler and splitting some food over a few good laughs.
(In case you were wondering we usually go to Smugglers Notch  in Jefferson, VT)
