Beach, Bikes, & Ice Cream

This here ladies and gents, is me cruising down the beach. Aids is always wanting to go biking here and there but I've vetoed the idea more than once, so this time, we let him win. It was actually really fun and the weather could not have been more perfect. Super embarrassing side note, the rental man gave me a little {metal} basket to hang on my bike when we left the shop and I was overly excited by how cute it looked. Unfortunately, 2 seconds out the gate the basket was so heavy it totally threw off my balance and I could not keep the bike straight. I have no upper body strength whatsoever, sigh. I should really start working out. Aids had to take one for the team and ride with the basket and my purse...

^^ biking followed by ice cream on the board walk! It's rocky road in case you were wondering

We ended the night by meeting up with my sister for Japanese BBQ at Anjin in Newport. Aids thought he had eaten here previously and picked the spot to meet up. Upon arrival he realized he hadn't been here but this place ended up being even better. The three of us devoured this marvelous marble-ly meat. This may be the best meat we've ever eaten so if you're in the area, go try it!

Back to Reality  Today was the first day back from spring break and I am struggling. Part jet lag + possibly getting sick + work overload = not a pretty picture. I have a few more posts from spring break and then hopefully I'll be able to get into the swing of things again. Happy Tuesday!

  2. Looks like such a fun day! I went bike riding in Central Park for the first time ever last fall - I hadn't been on a bike in forever and I had struggled with the basket at the beginning too lol! I was so wobbly! But I kept at it and it was fine after that. It was touch and go there for a while though, so I know how you felt!

  3. You nicknamed my brother after a deadly disease that afflicts and kills millions of people every year...
I wish I thought of it first.
